United Metals Company, an Elsewedy Electric subsidiary, operates one of the biggest copper rod plants in the middle east arena, producing 130,000 tons per year of continuous cast copper 8 mm dia.
The production line was developed in 1998 in collaboration with USA giant Southwire, and is continuously upgraded with the very latest automated production process.
Our copper rods are made from LME-registered Grade-A copper cathodes that meet ASTM B-49 specifications and imported from internationally reputed producers of high grade copper.

The factory is located in 10th of Ramadan City, East of Cairo, linked by an expressway to major Red Sea and Mediterranean ports thanks to the unique geographical position of Egypt and continuous development of road networks.
