With over 30 years of manufacturing expertise, Elsewedy Cables has established its latest manufacturing facility in Qatar. Doha Cables proudly reflects the national identity of Qatar not only through its name but also through its locally manufactured products in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. Doha Cables is the first Qatari cable manufacturer and an important contributor to the sustainable development of the country.

We first established an office in 2004 as Elsewedy Cables Qatar. We formed a joint venture with AAMAL Company Q.S.C., one of the most successful conglomerates in Qatar, headed by distinguished business leader Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani.

With this alliance, a new vision was born: to build a solid private industrial sector in Qatar. Doha Cables spearheaded this initiative as the first Qatari cable manufacturer in 2009 by establishing a state-of-the art manufacturing facility that covers an area of 70,000 m2, supplying top-quality products to landmark energy and infrastructure projects in the state such as the Pearl Qatar, Qatar Rail, Katara development, Lusail City, Lusail Expressway, Msheireb Property Development, FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar Stadiums, Qatar Power Transmission and Distribution Networks, and many more.

On the other hand, we established the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction division under the name of Elsewey Cables Qatar in 2009, which has earned a reputation as a leading turnkey contractor in Qatar for the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, installation, and commissioning of power cables up to 220 kV in power transmission and distribution networks. The division has successfully taken part in prestigious multimillion-dollar projects by KAHRAMAA, Qatar Rail, Lusail City, QATARI DIAR, and more as an EPC contractor.

As part of Elsewedy Electric, Doha Cables contributes to the company’s ranking as the world’s 11th largest cable producer and the only MENA manufacturer to be ranked among the top 30.
