4 New Sites for ELSEWEDY Digital Smart Community Hub To Cement Madagascar's Sustainable Development

In light of our belief in the importance of providing sustainable development, especially in Africa, we are happy to announce the inauguration of the first 4 sites of “ELSEWEDY Digital Smart Community Hub” in Androy and Anosy regions, located in southern Madagascar as a part of the Rapid Rural Transformation (RRT) initiative by the UN's World Food Programme (WFP) for the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC).

These solar-powered smart hubs, developed by ELSEWEDY Digital, aim to help in the rapid rural transformation of Madagascar by providing green energy and digital platforms that support food security efforts through providing a range of services including agriculture, healthcare, education, telecom, rural electrification, water & sanitation and entrepreneurship targeting mainly the remote areas.

This smart, cost-effective solution is designed to support our vision and long-term commitment to the African Rapid Rural Transformation with several partners.

The inauguration of these 2 sites was attended by Mr. Manoj Juneja - WFP Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Pasqualina di Sirio - WFP Country Director in Madagascar, and Mr. Menghestab Haile - WFP Regional Director for Southern Africa as representatives for The United Nations World Food Programme. ELSEWEDY Digital's partners in this project are the governors, Mr. Lahimaro Tsimandilatse Soja - Governor of Androy, and Mr. Jocelyn Raharimbola - Governor of Anosy region, as well as delegates from the Ministry of Energy
