Elsewedy Electric Achieves EcoVadis Platinum Through Iskraemeco

Elsewedy Electric has achieved a major milestone in its sustainability journey through its subsidiary Iskraemeco, which has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, the highest level of recognition in the globally recognized sustainability rating system. 

This achievement places Iskraemeco among the top 1% of companies assessed worldwide over the past 12 months, marking a significant advancement from its previous Gold rating and reinforcing Elsewedy Electric’s commitment to responsible business practices and long-term sustainability. 

EcoVadis evaluates companies across four key pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The Platinum rating reflects consistent, measurable progress across all areas, with Iskraemeco increasing its overall score from 79 to 87 points in 2025. The most notable improvement was recorded in ethics, with an increase of 18 points, alongside strong progress in labor and human rights and sustainable procurement, while maintaining an excellent environmental score of 93 points. 

This recognition is the result of a comprehensive, company-wide effort to embed sustainability into operations and decision-making. Some of the key initiatives contributing to this achievement include ESG-focused education programs for employees and suppliers, enhanced compliance and risk assessment frameworks, implementation of international standards such as ISO 22301 and ISO 28000, and continued progress in environmental performance, including CO₂ emissions verification and avoided emissions calculations. 

In parallel, Iskraemeco has strengthened its social impact through employee volunteering programs, family-friendly workplace initiatives, and ongoing efforts to promote diversity and inclusion, further reinforcing its commitment to responsible and inclusive growth.
