Elsewedy ElectricELSEWEDY ELECTRIC PSP has successfully completed the first pour of plain concrete at the Alghat, Al Rass, and Alkahfa sites, marking the achievement of the first major milestone under the Kingdom’s landmark Synchronous Condenser Projects.
This accomplishment reflects the strong coordination, technical discipline, and early-stage execution efficiency demonstrated by the project teams across multiple locations. The milestone has been positively received by the client and establishes a solid operational foundation as construction activities accelerate across the remaining sites. PSP remains focused on maintaining schedule momentum while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
The Synchronous Condenser Projects represent a regional milestone in grid stabilization technology, positioning Elsewedy Electric PSP as the first EPC contractor in the Middle East and Africa to deliver such complex infrastructure. Spanning seven strategic sites and deploying 18 high-performance synchronous condenser units, the projects will provide up to 2,060 MVA of short-circuit power—significantly enhancing grid resilience, voltage regulation, and renewable energy integration within Saudi Arabia’s 380 kV national transmission network.
