Elsewedy Electric PSP Hosts MVM Leadership to Discuss Mátra CCGT
Elsewedy Electric PSP welcomed Mr. KárolyMátrai, CEO of MVM Group, along with his leadership team, to its headquarters, reinforcing the strength of the strategic partnership behind the Mátra Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Project in Hungary.
The visit reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to delivering one of Hungary’s most significant energy developments in decades. Discussions focused on project progress, collaboration milestones, and the long-term vision for strengthening supply security and advancing the country’s clean energy transition.
The 520 MW hydrogen-ready CCGT unit at Visonta will be Hungary’s largest combined cycle power plant and the first in the country capable of integrating up to 30% hydrogen in its fuel mix. Designed to enhance grid flexibility, efficiency, and renewable integration, the Mátra Project represents a cornerstone of Hungary’s energy strategy and a flagship European reference for Elsewedy Electric PSP’s growing global footprint.
