Elsewedy Electric Signs MoU with JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex to Explore the Development of Cable Manufacturing in Uzbekistan
Elsewedy Electric has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC), one of the world's leading copper and metals producers, marking another milestone in the company's strategic expansion across Central Asia. The agreement was signed during the Tashkent International Investment Forum, held on 16 June 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Abdelaziz ElGamal, General Manager, CIS & Balkans Region at Elsewedy Electric, and Senator Khursanov Abdullo Khalmurdovich, Chairman of the Board of AMMC. The partnership aims to explore the development of cable manufacturing capabilities in Uzbekistan, supporting the country's industrial growth while strengthening regional manufacturing and supply chains.
The collaboration reflects Elsewedy Electric's continued commitment to expanding its global manufacturing footprint through strategic partnerships in high-potential markets.
