Elsewedy Electric T&D Advances Egypt’s Digital Power Grid with Delta Regional Control Center
Elsewedy Electric T&D is preparing for the opening of the Delta Regional Control Center (DRCC) in Mansoura, marking a major achievement by our Operations team in supporting Egypt’s digital transformation of the national electricity network.
Developed for the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) through the consortium of Hitachi Energy and Elsewedy Electric T&D, the DRCC provides centralized monitoring and control of 107 substations operating at 66 kV and 220 kV across the Delta region.
Equipped with advanced SCADA systems, communication networks, intelligent automation, analytics, cybersecurity, and redundant infrastructure, the center is designed to enhance real-time grid visibility, operational efficiency, reliability, resilience, and business continuity.
The DRCC representsan important step toward strengthening Egypt’s energy security while supporting the country’s readiness for smart-grid applications and the integration of renewable energy across the power system.
