Elsewedy Electric PSP Achieves Major Milestones at Rabigh 1200 MW Power Plant
Elsewedy Electric PSP marked major progress at Rabigh 1200 MW Power Plant following the successful flooding of the Intake Pump Station on July 30th, 2026, celebrated on-site with the Client and IDOM teams. The milestone confirms completion of all Intake Pump Station systems, including stop logs, bar screens, band screens, and trash rack screens, along with associated civil, mechanical, electrical, and cold commissioning works.
At the Water Treatment Plant, construction and cold commissioning works for Train 1 have been completed, while Raw Water Pumps have also completed construction and commissioning. In addition, HRSG Units 41, 42, and 43 have reached 100% completion of construction works and have been handed over to the Commissioning team. Chemical cleaning for HRSG #43 commenced on July 20th, 2026, marking another key step toward commissioning.
Progress continues across the project, with critical HP, Hot Reheat, and Cold Reheat piping reaching 100% shop weld completion and 87% field weld completion. Steam Turbine mechanical and electrical works are also nearing completion and are expected to be handed over to the Siemens commissioning team shortly.
