Elsewedy Electric Secures Debut Metering Orders in Guinea Worth $16 Million
Elsewedy Electric has secured its first meter supply orders in Guinea, totaling $16 million, marking the company's entry into the Guinean metering market. Led by the company's Africa Sales team, the orders will be delivered to Électricité de Guinée (EDG), the country's electric utility, through two major local distributors.
The supply includes 220,000 STS single-phase prepaid meters, along with data concentrator units, accessories, and head-end software, providing an integrated metering solution that supports the utility's efforts to modernize energy management and improve revenue collection.
The milestone strengthens Elsewedy Electric's commercial presence across West Africa and reflects its growing role in supporting utilities across the continent with smart, reliable metering solutions.
