Elsewedy Electric Infrastructure Tests Water Transmission Lines at El-Dabaa Axis

Elsewedy Electric Infrastructure has successfully tested 10 pipelines installed to transmit irrigation water needed for the reclaming new lands in the area south of El-Dabaa Axis in northwestern Egypt, the heartland of ”Egypt’s Future” project for agriculture reclamation.

The test was performed by pumping 8000m^3 of water in the pipelines that measure 2200 mm in diameter and 2000 m in length at Sector 12 of the promising project.

Spanning over 500,000 acres on Dabaa Axis, ”Egypt’s Future” of agricultural reclamation project is part of the mega-project New Delta, with a total of 2.2 million acres of reclaimed lands aimed to maximize agriculture productivity.

Supplied from underground water reservoirs, “Egypt’s Future” project includes an integrated system of administration, irrigation and agricultural mechanism with the latest equipment and techniques. It has thousands of center-pivot irrigation devices, two power stations with a capacity of 250 megawatts, and an internal electricity network of 200 km in length.
