Al Layyah Combined Cycle Power Plant Project 1,026 MW Sharjah, United Arab Emirates has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing the steam blow and restoration work phase, an essential step in the commissioning process marking the first time that Elsewedy Electric power to manage the entire steam blowing process, from design to commissioning, meeting the high standards required for steam purity.

Another milestone of The Steam Bypass Operation has been started towards the synchronization of the power plant with the grid to produce the full output of the Combined Cycle 1026 MW 

The plant has been producing 350 MW from each Gas Turbine since June 2022, with a total production of 750 MW, and an additional 326 MW expected after completing the Steam Turbine, contributing around 40% of Sharjah's current electricity grid output.

The project team is diligently preparing for upcoming milestones and optimizing the Steam Turbine for operation, demonstrating exceptional dedication and commitment to excellence throughout the project.
