Elsewedy Electric T&D has made an exciting announcement revealing their partnership with Zimplats Holdings Ltd, the largest platinum producer in Zimbabwe. The two companies have signed an EPC contract for the engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 40.5 MWp solar PV power plant with a two-year O&M agreement. This significant milestone marks a pivotal moment in Zimplats’ journey to transition towards cleaner and more reliable energy sources, and EE T&D is thrilled to be a part of it.

The international tender, awarded in late 2022, received submissions from 27 different bidders. EE T&D stood out amongst the competition, securing the partnership with Zimplats. The project aims to support Zimplats’ plan to shift towards renewable energy sources while providing reliable and sustainable solutions that positively impact communities.
